Xfinity says device is paused but it's not

Roommate’s laptop cant connect to wifi, says device is paused. Hey all, Ive been having issues connecting my roommate’s laptop to our xfi wifi. It shows that its connected to the wifi on his laptop but hes not getting any access to the internet. On the app, it says his laptop is working fine and is not paused, but he keeps getting a message ....

I made sure the phone was not paused and also paused and unpaused it again and still can't access my WiFi account. I checked with the local Xfinity store and they said I should try "forget this device" and I should be all set. I have done that and am still getting the same message. How do I fix this?To do so, press and hold the power button until you see “slide to power off” appear on the screen. Slide to power off and wait a few seconds before pressing and holding the power button again until you see the Apple logo appear. This will restart your device, resolving any issues with the pause.
